Call notes

Call transcript vs. call summary

When to use the full transcript and when a short summary is enough for customer follow-up.

Use the transcript for exact details

A transcript helps when the customer gave a long list, spelled a name, described a problem in detail, or discussed several prices. Search it when you need to confirm what was actually said.

Use the summary for daily work

A summary should tell you who called, what they need, where the job is, and what happens next. It works well for a morning callback list or a quick handoff to someone else.

Keep both when the call matters

The most useful setup connects the summary to the original transcript. Start with the summary, then check the transcript before quoting, scheduling, or promising anything that depends on an exact detail.

Keep the details without taking notes

NotesNumber sends your call transcript, summary, and action items to your email after the call.
